Charlotte Haertel
Charlotte Haertel, born on February 14, 1997 in Dortmund, is an artist living in Bielefeld who specializes in the depiction of intimate interpersonal moments.
Her passion for drawing was already evident in her childhood and at the age of six she began to bring childlike motifs onto canvas using acrylic and solid colors.
While studying economics in Siegen in 2016, Charlotte rediscovered art as a creative outlet for her rather structured everyday life. Her work developed from depictions of animals to portraits of bodies and faces that reflect feelings and desires. She does not shy away from taking up supposed social taboo topics, always with the aim of capturing the intimate togetherness and desire between people in her works.
Today, her focus is on capturing fleeting moments of desire and closeness in her works of art for eternity. Always with her: her beagle Oskar.
